National Lockdown - Tuesday 5th January
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement of a national lockdown this evening, the following arrangements will be put in place for education at Yealmpton Primary School on Tuesday 5th January. I’m sure you can appreciate the complexities of decisions at such short notice.
The children of key workers and vulnerable pupils can attend school on Tuesday 5th January. These children will receive emergency educare and further plans will be put in place from Wednesday onwards. For any parents who are unable to provide for their children at home tomorrow, their children can also attend school for Tuesday 5thonly. This is so parents can make the necessary arrangements to look after them at home from Wednesday onwards.
All other children should remain at home. Due to the short notice of this decision, no remote learning will be provided for these children until Wednesday 6th January.
Further details of remote learning and other arrangements will be communicated tomorrow.
In the meantime we can only apologise for the inconvenience that these changes will cause.
